Interview Advice
Things to check before your interview...
- Day and time of your interview.
- Company name and address of where you are going and the person you are seeing.
- Job title and job description.
- Salary details including any commission/bonus.
- Company benefits - induction, training schemes.
- How many people are employed by the company.
- Do you have any company information to read, i.e. Brochure, website address?
- Give some thought to how you are going to get there.
- If you are driving check if there is parking available. Maybe a trial run?
- Will there be any tests or assessments?
Things to remember during your interview...
- First impressions count.
- Body language is important for any interview, make direct eye contact with the interviewer.
- Always be polite and courteous.
- Be ready to answer questions on your knowledge of the organisation and the vacancy you are applying for.
- Take a copy of your CV to your interview, along with any references you may have.
- Take a pen and pad to make notes.
- At the end of an interview you may be asked if you have any questions so be prepared.
- Turn off your mobile phone.
After your interview...
- Find out if there will be a 2nd interview?
- How quickly will a decision be made?
- Who will let me know if I have been successful?
